I believe that I can and will learn!
All of us at Big Country Elementary School are here to learn. We know that life holds many treasures, which our teachers, parents, and community can provide for us in reaching our potential. We recognize our responsibility to make the best possible use of our experiences, both academically and socially, that will stimulate us to be the best we can be. To assist my teachers, parents, and community to help me do my best, I will:
*Be at school everyday and be on time to class.
*Complete my assignments to the best of my ability.
*Practice self-control.*Meet or exceed the district's expectations and goals concerning mastery of the curriculum and testing.
TEACHERS, PARENTS, AND COMMUNITY
We believe children are our most valuable resource, and must acquire skills necessary for success; therefore, we as teachers, parents, and community will strive to:
*Develop situations encouraging responsibilities to self and others.
*Develop each child to his/her fullest academic and social potential while recognizing individual needs.
*Create a positive and challenging atmosphere.
*Develop situations encouraging self control.
*Include activities designed to allow for creative expressions.
*Develop the child's physical self.
*Develop a positive attitude in the child towards learning and the school environment.
*Develop the confidence to try new things.
